Generations Corvette Club
In the Beginning

Champagne Wishes and Corvette Dreams!
On the close of this beautiful day in January I can not help but reflect on the events of this afternoon. Today January 27th, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the kind hosting of Greg Tilley and his office Snug Seat, Generations Corvette Club launched its website and toasted with Champagne to a new beginning unique in ideology yet traditional in structure.
As we move forward with member participation as our catalyst I feel great pride and relief to be moving in a democratic direction with a group of highly ethical and fun loving people. Many of these people have enriched my life in the past and many of the new people who I have yet to become so close with, but all of which I have great faith and hope made today one most memorable.
My accolades go out to Mark Curtis our Webmaster and all of the members that worked tirelessly to review, edit and contribute to bylaws, structure, photographs, financials and advertising. Thank you also to Les Wandler who set up dinner at Kristopher’s in Matthews, just one of many I hope and to Linda Keith and Adrienne Kulcsar who brought the appetizers for the launch party.
This endeavor has completely reinforced my deep commitment to serving the members and friends of this club and their intentions and wishes. I also want to express my undying gratitude to those that encouraged us to start this club and had the faith and commitment to our ideals, ethics and abilities to carry it out with the same commitment as we attack everything. Our work has come to a close as the next step and all the rest are up to the membership, as your President told you today, “it is not a club you belong to, it is a club you own.”
My hope for the future is that we continue this good work and spread the lifestyle and positive image of a Corvette owner and pass it on to the next generation.
To all those present today that viewed our website and those on the Cruise in the Bahamas viewing from international waters, congratulations on this marvelous project and keep the motors running, the laughs coming and the cars clean!
