Call to order at 6:00 pm.

President Chris Patton passed out copies of the revised By-Laws for review and approval later in meeting.

President asked if there were any additions or deletions to the March meeting minutes.  There were none.

A motion to approve the minutes was requested, seconded, and all present voted to approve.

The introduction of guests was handled by the President in Bart Richard’s (Vice President of Membership) absence.  Joining the group for this meeting was Ron Griffin, who is currently eligible for membership, and Chauncey Edwards.

A motion was made for the induction of Ron Griffin and his wife Pam to become new members, seconded, and passed by majority.

Officer Reports:

Membership:  Chris Patton (for Bart Richards):

Membership now stands at 78 members.  We currently still have 8 people eligible for membership.

Automotive:  Chris Patton (for Mark Curtis):

Auto Fair was a complete success for our first showing as a club.  We exceeded attendance both days and 99% participation with the Hagerty Insurance Competition and have been awarded the free club banner by Hagerty.  This will save the club over $250.

Next year we will have the ability for more participation as the Speedway was very grateful and happy with our participation and said we could have as many spaces as we could fill for the fall Auto Fair.

Treasury:  Ronnie Steele:

Balance is currently $1200 with no debt.  The only pending expenditure will be for the club name tags once the order is finalized.

Events:  Melissa Patton:

Recognition of April Birthdays

Review of the Charleston Trip and the rally point and time.

Review of Shelton Vineyard trip on May 17th.  Group will rally at 2:30 at Exit 36 off I-77 between Belk and Kohl’s.  Concert afterward is optional for anyone that wants to stay.

Next meeting will be May 24th at Lancaster’s BBQ in Mooresville.  Directions and rsvp information can be found on the “Getting Around” calendar page.

A committee for Victor Reveron’s benefit dinner will be formed and an email will be sent out to the club membership for anyone that is interested in serving on the committee.  Victor is currently accepting visitors and would very much appreciate the company.  He is currently residing at the Bryan Center at 2727 Shamrock Road in Charlotte, NC.

Attendance at each event has been averaging 28-32 people.  Please be sure to utilize the website and calendar page rsvp section as we are growing by leaps and bounds and seating at events needs to be calculated.  One additional note is to be sure to include the event in the subject line of your rsvp email so that things stay organized.

Rally to Sonic in Harrisburg for Cruise-In after meeting, weather permitting.

 *   By-Law Changes - Add all website duties to Public Relations Officer and Delete from Automotive Director.  Change to ballot process for voting in new members rather than black/white ball system for time constraint issues.  Any returned check will be subject to a $25 fee to cover any bank charges.  Motion to approve, seconded, and passed by majority.  Greg Tilley will be responsible for updating the By-Laws changes on the website.
