Called to order 4:00 pm.
I would like to thank everyone who came to our Red Line Session on January 5, 2008 for their great suggestions and ideas for getting Generations Corvette Club started and into gear. Welcome to the club and I am glad you came along for the ride.
· Chris Patton opened the meeting with how the idea for Generations came about and what direction we intend to go for the future of the club.
· Information on how membership will be handled
Meetings
· Board Meetings will be open for any member to attend with suggestions or problems to be addressed. This will need to be known ahead of schedule so that extra time can be made. Meetings will be coordinated with outings and events and kept on short length of time so the club can enjoy what events are planned for that day.
Events Calendar
· Family outings, day road trips, weekend trips, car shows including Auto Fair, car care days and social dinners among other activities are open for suggestions at any time from any member of the club. Members are welcome to plan the route of their suggested trip and lead the group to the determined destination.
· Everyone in attendance was shown a preview of the website although it was still a work in progress and approval ratings were well received.
· Mark Curtis stated that articles and pictures are welcome from any members attending corvette functions and should be submitted to him so he can update the website on each Monday night.
Closing of Meeting
Meeting closed with the announcement of Generations Corvette Club’s official start with an outing to Liberty Tap Room in Greenville, S.C. on February 23rd.
Thanks to all who attended and I look forward to seeing all of you on February 23rd for our first official club outing. Now that the talking points and discussion are finished let’s all get to the real excitement and as the page title clearly states…..Shut Up and Drive!!!!
Sincerely,
Jacqueline Zuleg
